Hello dearies! It’s been ages I’ve posted here or even visited your blogs!
As I mentioned earlier, I am trying to wind up work before leaving for my vacation in India! I’ll be going for 6 weeks!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Of course, that meant that I had 6 weeks of deadlines to take care of, which is why I neglected my poor blog!
I did often wistfully think about it, wanting to post. But, there’s also been so much sad events that have happened, that I feel strongly about. But, that I couldn’t articulate. Others have spoken passionately about the events and spoken much better than I could.
So, today will be a happy, hopeful post about my trip with the two boys! The Husband doesn’t have as much leave as I do, so he will join us later.
We will be going in the sweltering summer with the hope that the monsoon rains will have descended when we arrive there. We plan to dance in the downpour, eat raw mango slices coated with salt and chilli powder, drink mango shakes made of sweet mangoes from the abundance that will be ready for us at this time of the year, meet our favorite vendors at our favorite lane to savor their wares, and have long, warm chats with all my relatives.
This is also a sobering time for me as it will be the first time I will be in Calcutta and not go and lie down on my grandmother’s lap.
But, onto happier thoughts! We have made arrangements with our friends to take care of Zeb while all of us are away. Last weekend, he had his monthly bath and a full haircut before that! Here he is showing off his summer body!
I plan to take lots of pictures so do follow me on Instagram if you’d like to take a sneak peek at what’s happening while I find the time to squeeze in a post!
Signing off and wishing you a wonderful, warm but-not-too-hot summer!!
